TLT Professors at the 4th International Symposium of Teaching Turkish Language and Turkology in the Balkans
From November 5 to 7, 2025, the 4th International Symposium of Teaching Turkish Language and Turkology in the Balkans was held in Konya, Türkiye, under the theme “Traces of Migration in the Balkans.” The event gathered numerous distinguished researchers in the fields of Turkology and Balkan studies. This prestigious academic gathering explored the multidimensional impact of migration on language, literature, art, education, and social life.
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) was proudly represented by Dr. Dženana Bračković, Dr. Fatih Cihat Büyükmatür, and Minela Sinanović-Vefić, MA, professors from the Turkish Language and Literature Teaching (TLT) study program of the Faculty of Education (FEDU).
In their presentations, the IUS professors highlighted research that contributes to a deeper understanding of the cultural, linguistic, and identity-related aspects of migration processes in the Balkans. Their participation reinforced IUS’s dedication to fostering academic collaboration and advancing knowledge exchange at the international level.
